Hello! My name is Laura Gemmrich and I’m a 4th Year undergraduate student of Geology at the University of Barcelona.

Ever since I was little I always went on mountain trips with my family and I fell in love with nature. I always looked at any little rock that I found wandering about its origin and meaning. Every time I would find something different I would pick it up and take it home with me, so I soon started a little rock collection which overtime and with more geology knowledge has been evolving to a mineral collection.

I’ve always wanted to know how the minerals I’d been finding where formed and that’s how I became interested in Mineralogy.

Apart from Geology I love reading, music and hiking.
